31st Annual Boogies Buddy Race @ Rio Grande Park | 7:00 AM
Boogies Buddy Race is one of the most widely anticipated activities of the Fourth of July week in Aspen. The event will take place on the morning of July 4th, with a 5-mile USA Track & Field certified competitive race and a 1-mile Family and Canine run/walk.
7 AM registration
8 AM 5-mile race
8:30 AM 1-mile family and canine walk
Cost: $50 for adults, $60 race-day registration. $15 for kids under 16 or $90 family rate for the 1-mile walk.
Red Brick Bike Decorating @ Paepcke Park | 9:30 AM-10:30 AM
Join the Red Brick Center for the Arts at Paepcke Park for 4th of July themed bike decorating!
FREE to participate!
17th Annual “America’s Birthday Carnival" @ Paepcke Park | 10 AM - 2 PM
Early Learning Center’s kids’ carnival in Paepcke Park featuring carnival games, bounce houses, face painting, snow cones, balloon animals, live music, silent auction, and BBQ lunch.
Old Fashioned Fourth of July PARADE | 11 AM
Parade Begins on Main Street
AVSC Annual 4th of July Picnic @ Koch Lumber Park (corner of Garmisch & Cooper Ave.) | NOON
Head on over to AVSC’s picnic following the parade for a festive time in the park with live music by Steve Lizard And His All Reptile Orchestra, test your rodeo skills by riding a mechanical bull and eat delicious BBQ.

TRANSPORTATION TIPS:
Parking in Aspen will be EXTREMELY limited. Ride the FREE in-town bus, walk or bike.
FREE parking will be available at the Brush Creek Park & Ride (Intercept Lot) with free and frequent bus service to and from Aspen.
If you are headed to town from down valley/Snowmass leave early - busses will be full!
Snowmass: July 4, 2017 Celebrations @ Base Village | 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM
Bring your blankys and picnic baskets and listen to DJ Berkel Beats spinnin’ tunes while attendees can play frisbee, soccer, horseshoes, whiffle ball, and life-sized jenga. Complimentary sweet treats from The Sled will be serving mini brownies, pies, strawberry shortcake, ice cream, churros, and more.
Due to dry weather, fireworks in Snowmass are cancelled!
Glenwood Springs: July 4, 2017 Celebrations @ Two Rivers Park | 5:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M.
Head on over to Two Rivers Park for a family fun time with music by Mannequin the Band, games, contests, and food from many local vendors. The Symphony in the Valley will conclude the event with an 8 PM performance. The event ends at 10 PM.
Transportation will be tricky! Shuttle busses will be provided, starting at 4:45 PM taking event-goers from Glenwood Springs High School to the parking lot on 7th. Parking at the GSHS, walking or biking are strongly encouraged as parking near Two Rivers Park will be very limited.
Glenwood Springs: July 4, 2017 Lions Club Fun Run @ Two Rivers Park, Bandshell | 8:00 AM
The Glenwood Springs Lions Club will hold their annual Firekracker 4K run starting at 8 AM. Registration starts at 7:00 AM. Cost: Adults $20 / Race Day $25 | Kids 17 and under $10 / Race Day $15.
Stay for the United States Air Force jet fly-over which will include 2 F-16’s at precisely 10:45 am!
Carbondale: July 4, 2017 4th of July Parade @ Main Street | 10:30 AM
Carbondale’s 38th annual kids parade - march in costume, decorate your bike, wear your uniform, play an instrument or do a routine. Parade route will be down Main Street, ending in Sopris Park.
Carbondale: July 4, 2017 Pool Party @ Sopris Park | 11 AM
After the parade head on over to the John M. Fleet Swimming pool and enjoy free ice cream and watermelon after the parade. Also enjoy games, food, live music, and more!
