GoSnowmass just launched their VIK—Very Important Kid—program for the 2016–2017 season. This is a great addition to all of the other kid-friendly happenings around The Valley. The VIK program offers events for every day of the week. You can visit http://viksnowmass.com for more details. But, for your convenience, I’ve posted the schedule below. However, I do recommend calling ahead and confirming these activities are still happening.
Mondays
3:30 - 4:30 pm: Sing-Along and S’mores
What: A cozy fire, yummy s’mores, and a guitar-strummin’ cowboy bring friends and families together during this entertaining après activity.
Where: Snowmass Base Village Fire Pit

4:30 - 5:30 pm: Wildside with ACES
What: Join a Naturalist from the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES) for a fun and informative presentation featuring live animals. Animal guests may include ACES’ resident Great Horned Owl, Boa Constrictor, Tarantula and more. All ages welcome.

What: An “insider’s” edition of VIK, this fun, educational program gives kids (and their parents) a behind-the-scenes peek at life in a mountain town, featuring patrol dogs, snowmaking and much more. Adult supervision required.

What: In honor of the Norse God of Snow — Ullr — Elk Camp is transformed into a nighttime winter wonderland. Guests can make a night of it, with classic winter activities, such as ice skating, sledding, guided snowshoe tours with ACES, snowbiking, snow tubing, and a visit to Ullr’s ghost ship. Enjoy an a la carte culinary celebration with live music, and top it off with s’mores and hot chocolate by the campfire. Snow tubing is available for one-hour sessions beginning at 5:30pm, 6:00pm, 6:30pm, 7:00pm and 7:30pm. Tickets required, reservations recommended.
